The Rayhaven Story
After a not so simple reminder that life is short, we decided to search for a mountain property that could serve as a place of healing and celebration for ourselves and others. When we found the land that would become Rayhaven, we knew we had the place. Located in Meadows of Dan, Virginia right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, it was just a short drive from our home in central NC, yet perched at 3,000 feet elevation with easy access on well maintained roads and even had a darling town just five minutes away. We began to develop the property as a labor of love and are now ready to share this wonderful place with others. You can read more about our story here.

Relax
Our family acquired this land as a place to rejuvenate and take time to be in nature and reflect on all that we are grateful for. We hope it can be a place of peace and joy for you too. Take time to journal, read, sit in quiet, talk with family and friends, nap, and just be.

Guest Testimonials
This place is a dream. It felt incredible to wake up at first light and see the mountain view from the master bedroom. I hate to throw my veteran card for a comment, but I find it appropriate to say the peace and beauty I found in that place were therapeutic. My family and I look forward to returning and enjoying the different seasons.

I truly appreciate the getaway at the Barn. And it was a win-win-win: we got to bring the dogs for a roadtrip, I hung out and played with them on-site, and my husband drove to Primland to golf his heart out.
This was our speed, and the privacy was so welcomed.

What a wonderful stay, the overall serenity and stillness was amplified by nightly deer appearances. The cleanliness and the quality of the linens and bath towels were top notch! So happy to have such a wonderful host and be soo accommodating to our circumstances. Definitely would stay again!
